  Matilda Anglin Sharp----- Grandpa Wood { John Pugh } talked of a grandmother who lived to be 110 years old, he said she had her teeth and never wore glasses. (Dan Wood)
 Anita Hinton Ruffato also relates the same story, she said Matilda was living in the home of her daughter { Eliza Jane Sharp White } when she died. If the dates are correct she would have been 53 when her youngest child was born.

  Know all men by these presents, that we Charles Sharp & Phillip Anglin are held and firmly bound unto his excellency, Wm. H. Cabell, governor or chief magistrate of the commonwealth of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made to our said governor or his successors, for the use of the said commonwealth, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents: Sealed with our seals and dated this 20th day of August 1807 in the 32d Year of the commonwealth.
  The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Charles Sharp & Matilda Anglin ---
  If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, or else to remain in full force and virtue.

  And for so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant. Given under my hand at office this 20th day of August 1807, in the 32d year of the Commonwealth.
