Notes
a. Note:   Name: Alcie Harlin ROBBINS Name: Alcey "Eles" ROBBINS Birth: ABT 1770 in Rowan, North Carolina Death: BET 1838 AND 1839 Note:
 Father: Joseph Robbins Sr.3 b. c 1730, d. bt Jun 1788 - Sep 1788
 Mother: Alice A. (Alse, Else) Robbins3 b. c 1734, d. bt Jul 1790 - Apr 1793
Birth*: Alcey Robbins was born circa 1770 at Rowan, North Carolina; presumed to be one of the females age 50-59 in the households of Joel and Benj. Curtis in the 1830 Perry County census, but any date of birth later than 1770 makes her too young to be Thomas Jr.'s wife.4,2
She was the daughter of Joseph Robbins Sr. and Alice A. (Alse, Else) Robbins.3
Married Name: As of circa 1785,her married name was Curtis.1,2,3
Marriage*: Alcey Robbins married Thomas Curtis Jr., son of Thomas Curtis Sr. and Eleanor Bryant, circa 1785 at Randolph, North Carolina; no marriage bond, Joseph Robbins' 1788 will refers to his daughter "Alci, now the wife of Thomas Curtis, " which is ambiguous as to date of marriage.1,2,3
(Witness) Census: Alcey Robbins appeared on the census of 1790 Randolph, North Carolina, in the household of Thomas Curtis Jr; page 313, 1 male over 16, 3 males under 16 and 1 female; if Joshua Kel and Eli are included, the three males are accounted for.5
(Witness) Census: Alcey Robbins appeared on the census of 1800 Burke, North Carolina, in the household of Thomas Curtis Jr; page 733, 4 males under 10, 1 male 26-44, 1 female under 10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-25, 2 females 26-44; the 4 males could be Thomas, Solomon, Benjamin and William, but the absence of the 3 males in the 1790 household is unexplained; the females are unknown; none were present in his 1790 household.6
Census*: Alcey Robbins appeared on the census of 1820 at Franklin District, Williamson, Tennessee, page 14, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 16-25, 1 female over 45, indicating she was widowed.7
NoteB*: In 1821, Alcey testified that Thomas, who had witnessed an earlier deed, was deceased, but she recognized his handwriting.
Census: She appeared on the census of 1830 at Perry, Tennessee, probably: both Joel and Benjamin reported a female age 50-59, which may be too young by one interval for her, but ages appear to have been carelessly collected in the censuses for both.8
Tax List*: She appeared on the personal property tax list of 1838 at Humphreys, Tennessee; 1837 tax list appears to be incomplete, but she is not listed; unclear why she would suddenly appear as head of household.9
Death*: She died between 1838 and 1839 at Humphreys, Tennessee; The name Alcey Curtis appears on the 1838 Humphreys County tax list, and "Alcey Curtis heirs" appears on the 1839 tax list.1,10
