He was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., and was retired from Craig Construction Co. A member of Laborer's Local No. 366 and a member of North Carolina Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thurs., May 7, 2009, Greenhill Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in North Carolina Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wed., May 6, 2009, Greenhill Funeral Home. Survivors are wife, Allmeda Balentine Stutts, Killen, Ala.; sons, Ronnie Kelvin Stutts, Randy Keith Stutts and Steve Stutts, all of Killen, Ala.; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Eli Stutts and Rhella Beavers Stutts; a son, Johnny Coleman Stutts Jr.; brothers, Almond Stutts and Jessie Stutts; sisters, Peggy Tidwell and Eula Lee. Pallbearers will be Leo Burbank, Joe Canerday, Daniel Kevin Stutts, Jeremy Stutts, Josh Stutts and Wesley Stutts. Honorary pallbearer will be William Stevenson.
