The following text is from Sam's obituary:
Samuel Vernon Aylesworth died tragically and unexpectedly on Thursday, November 22nd, 1990 at his home in Calgary. He was loved very much by, and is survived by, his parents, Diane and Sam; his brother, Derek (Oliva); his sister Suzanne (David) Pever; his grandparents, Agnes and Wes Aylesworth, and by many caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by the young woman he loved very much, Melody Flynn.
Born in Golden, BC on August 14th, 1961, he lived at various locations in B.C., Alberta and Manitoba, but Calgary was always home base since 1965.
He graduated from grade 12 in 1980 (Western Canada High School), completed two years as a science major at the University of Calgary in 1982, and graduated with a diploma of Survey Engineering from Red River College, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1986. He worked as a surveyor since graduation. His major interests included Karate, tennis, weight lifting and reading. He was a gentle, caring person who valued integrity and justice. May God embrace and nurture Sam, now and forever.
