  "In the marriage bond of Alexander Scott and Martha Wills, dated 21 Feb 1822, Samuel Wills is named as her father. The bondsman was David Wills [her brother], and David Jamison was the witness." (From Fleming County Marriage Bond Book, 1798-1825, via Bruce Logan, FIDO North American Genealogy Conference, Dec 1993) Martha Wills Scott died in 1847, when her 11th child was just 10 months old.
