a. Note:   REFERENCE NOTES: Per Sylvester Judd, 1851, "Thomas Judd, son of Stephen married Mercy Scott. He removed from Watertown, Conn. to Harpersfield, NY about 1786 and afterwards lived in Otsego County, NY, at Chenanago NY, in Luzern County, PA, Ontario County, NY and finally removed to Mayfield, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio where he dided in August 1820, aged 76. His widow died in Willoughby, Lake County, Ohio in 1840, aged 90. [His children's and grand-children's names were sent by his son Thomas in 1850 and January 6, 1851].
  1790 First Federal Census "At the time of the first Federal Census there was no Delaware County (NY). At that time all land noth of the west branch of the Delaware River, now the County of Delaware was included in the town of Harperfield (NY) in Montgomery County. This township also included some land now in Chenanago and Broom Counties. All land now in Delware County south of said river was included in the townships of Woodstock and Middletown. Portions of these townships extended into what are now Ulster, Green and Sullivan counties."
