Box Quitman, Arkansas. Households in Cadron Township, 1860. No. 302 Mortimer B. Pearson, age 29, b. Va, Amanda M. (wife) age 20, b. Tenn, 2 in household. Assume him to be son of Jesse Allen.
  Agriculture Census, Cadron Township, Van Buren County, Arkansas , 1860, pg 101 #2-3 M.B. Pearson had 300 acres with 50 of it improved land. The farm was valued at $3,000 and farm implements at $20. He had two horses, one ass or mule, one milch cow, one other cow and 15 swine valued at $375. He had produced 500 bushels Indian corn and 15 bushels Irish potatoes. Animals slaughtered were valued at $60.
