Dr. Woodring Pearson, Woodland, CA lists the following children for Jesse and Mary: John, Elizabeth, Ben F., Sarah, Virginia, Ellen, Jesse Allen Jr., and Jane. ----- Mary Rabold, Bowling Green, KY writes the following concerning the children. "Three possible sons are Mortimer B. born in VA 1831, P.L. born NC 1830, and William R. born NC 1832, suggests he stayed in Brunswick Co., VA or across the line in NC during those years. Another possible son, R. S. born in TN in 1837, and 4 known children were born in TN. The youngest born in TN in 1852, so he moved to Arkansas between 1852 and 1860, as he is listed in the 1860 census, Van Buren, Crawford Co., AR. An email received 4/13/1999 from Karen Mann, 100 Country Aire Drive, Heber Springs, AR 72543, kman[email protected]@cswnet.com I found your family file on the Pearson surname through the Kindred Konnections website. I am a direct descendant of Jesse Allen Pearson and Mary Elizabeth Harrison. While browsing through your file, I notice that you have them moving from TN to AR sometime between 1852-1860, and then go on to say they were in the 1860 census of Van Buren, AR. This is correct, yet not correct. It is Van Buren Co., AR, in the town of Quitman. I have visited their graves there at the Goodloe Cemetery. They rest next to one of their daughters, Virginia Tennessee, and her husband, William Benjamin Love. There is a Van Buren, AR, but that is in Crawford Co., and is a county that is as far west as you can go without getting into Oklahoma. Van Buren Co. is situated in North Central Ark., about 60 mi. or so from the capitol of Little Rock. Also on some footnotes that Mary Rabold penned, she has them in Van Buren, Crawford Co., in Cadron Twp. That's incorrect, too. Cadron Twp. is in the Quitman vicinity.
