Eliza Virginia Pearson: Birth: 6 AUG 1841. Death: 19 JUN 1857
In 1836, Henry purchased 224 acres from John Tomlin, in Madison (later Crockett) Co., TN. They built a large log house overlooking Pearson Creek, that flowed through the farm. The logs were later covered, columns added across the front and the house painted white. Uncle Joe, a blind slave, lived in a cabin next to Henry's home and remained there after he was freed. The Pearson Family Cemetery is located in a grove of maple, oak, and cedar trees. -----
Claude Woodring Pearson lists one of his sources the Pearson Family Bible published 1830, and in the possession of Hattie Martin. He notes that some birth and death dates are not the same in the family bible as on the tombstones.
