a. Note:   "John M. Adcock was a private in Babcoke's Miller county Prov. G.O. #107 under the command of Capt. Thos. J. Babcoke. He enrolled August 13, 1864 at Mount Pleasant, MO., was order to active service in the Civil War August 23, 1864in Miller county, Missouri. He was discharged November 1, 1864 on account of age. ""John Madison was a farmer. He traded farms with Uncle Jimmy Brockman (husband of Martha Ellen), after John Madison's children were through school, as the Brockmans were too far from school. Grandpa's original farm was near Mount Pleasant and the Brockman's farm was ojn the Saline Creek near Eldon, Missouri. this was told to me by my father, John Wm. Adcock. John Madison Adcock died April 2, 1893 and is buried at Mount Pleasant in Miller County,MO. (Adcock Family, by Hilary Adcock Dunnaway, page 4.)[Family Tree Junk File1.FTW] "John M.
