John F. Schumacher died unexpectedly this morning at the home ofhis daughter, Mrs. Eugene Kosche of Ethan Allen Highway, Shaftsbury.Funeral arrangements are pending at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home.

John F. Schumacher, 75 died unexpectedly Friday morning at the homeof his daughter, Mrs. Eugene Kosche of Ethan Allen Highway inShaftsbury. Born April 12, 1895, he had been employed as a meat cutter for theFirst National Stores in Pittsfield, Mass., until 1959 when he retiredin 1962 he moved to Shaftsbury to live with his daughter. His wife,the former Hilda Hornig, died some years ago. Another daughter, Mrs. James Donohue of Copeland, Fla., alsosurvives as well as three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hanson-WalbridgeFuneral Home and burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield,Mass., at 1 p.m. The Rev. A. J. MacDonald First United MethodistChurch pastor in Shaftsbury, will officiate at the service inBennington.

JOHN F. SCHUMACHER Funeral services for John F. Schumacher of Shaftsbury were heldMonday morning at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Horne. The Rev. A. J. MacDonald, pastor ofthe First United Church of Shaftsbury, officiated. Arnong those in attendance were friends and neighbors fromShaftsbury and trustees and members of the administrative board of theMethodist Church. Mr. Schumacher had lived in Pittsfield for many years prior tocoming to Shaftsbury, and many friends and neighbors from that areacalled at the funeral home over the weekend. lnterment was made in the Pittsfield Cemetery in Pittsfield early intle afternoon with the pastor of the Zion's Lutheran Church, which Mr.Schumacher had attended for many years, the Rev. Gordon E. Hohl,offering the commital prayers.
