He was living at Yeo, Vic, when he died in 1906. The Colac "Herald" obituary of 3 Jan 1906 gives his age at death as 86. The article states he had been in Victoria for 68 years (1838). Coffin bearers were H, E and C Baker and James Dare. Pall bearers were John Dare, George Windsor, John Allen, WJ Eades, John Oakley, W Raper and T Rhode.
