Earl E. Smith ELYRIA - Earl E. Smith, 50, of 1924 Lake Ave., died yesterday at his home, following a brief illness. Mr. Smith, born here Sept. 18, 1913, resided here his entire life. He was a carpenter for the T. J. Hume Co. He was a member of St. Agnes Church and Holy Name Society and served as a sergeant in the Lorain County Sheriff's Auxiliary. Mr. Smith also was a lieutenant in the Elyria Township Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors are his widow, Arlene, to whom he had been married 22 years; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Stawicki and a grandson, both of Elyria; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Schultz of California. Visitation may be made after 7 P. M. today and 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. tomorrow at Welsh-Goldcamp Funeral Home, where recitation of the Rosary will be 8 P.M. tomorrow. Funeral Mass will be 9:30 A. M., Monday at St. Agnes Chruch. burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
