Ida A. McCue: Birth: ABT. 1861.
Note: REFN2703 MCCUE, WILLIAM, farmer, P. O. Grant; born in Lebanon County,
Pennsylvania, August 29, 1832, and in infancy moved to Lancaster County,
where he was educated, moving in 1862 to Jackson County, Iowa, and
engaged in farming for three years, then moved to Jones County, living
there six years; then lived in Linn County for a short time and from
there came to Montgomery County in the fall of 1872, locating on section 15, Douglas township, where he has a good 80 acres of land, containing a
good house and a nice young orchard. Was married June 28, 1854, to Miss
Sarah M. Stewart, a native of Pennsylvania, Lancaster County, who died
October 4, 1872, leaving eight children: Alice A., John T., Mary M., now
Mrs. James Kenedy; Ida A., Henry H., Dora May, William D., Cora V. Mr.
McCue is one of the first men in this township.
