Frankfort Times - Thursday, 29 August 2002: Curtis N. Shore, 84, Frankfort, died at 11 a.m. Aug. 28, 2002, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Mr. Shore graduated in 1936 from Jackson Township High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. He managed the International Harvester store in Kirklin 1940-50 and the service department for Oldsmobile and Cadillac in Frankfort 1950-63. He worked in the parts department of DeFouw Chevrolet, Lafayette, from 1967 until he retired in 1984. He was a member of East Side Christian Church, Kirklin American Legion 310, AARP, Fraternal Order of Police and Hoosier VIP Travel Club and Clinton County Scottish Rite Club. He was a 50-year member of Kirklin Masonic Lodge 443, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shrine, Moose Lodge 7, the Indianapolis Shrine Club, and a life member of Elks Lodge 560. Mr. Shore was born Nov. 21, 1917, in Boone County to Harold T. and Abbie Rutenschour Shore. Surviving are a son, Jerry Lee (Jan) of Kirklin; a brother, Harold W. "Bill" of Lafayette; two granddaughters, and one stepgrandson. One sister preceded him in death. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Marshall Hills officiating. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Friday with Masonic services at 7:30. Burial will be in Mud Creek Cemetery in Boone County.
