Sally graduated from Arkansas City High Schoolin 1949, attended St. John's (correction: St. Mary's) School ofNursing and graduated from Marymount College in Salina wiht herBachelor's in Nursing. On May 26, 1951 she married Kenneth J. Miller and the couple hadfour children. She later married her high school friend, DavidWalker on August 5, 2005. Sally worked at the emergency room at the St. John's Hospital inSalina, nursing instructor at Marymount College in Salina,office nurse for Drs. Dowell, Weber, and Jackson in Salina,Presbyterian Manor in Salina, and Cumbernauld Village inWinfield. She became a Red Cross Volunteer after the OKC bombinas a disaster relief nurse, working at Hutchinson following thegas explosions and at the Pentagon following 9/11. Sally alsoworked numerous blood drives for the local Red Cross. She was anactive member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church inArkansas City.
