Note: orn Jan. 28, 1925, in Zurich, to Harry and Edith (Steeples) Whisman. He was a graduate of Palco High School. He married Berdena Veatch on May 27, 1948, near Palco. He was a farmer-rancher. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Daren Whisman, Palco; two daughters, Carol Whisman, Palco, and Nancy Beyea, Aspen, Colo.; a brother, David, Elk Falls; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Palco; burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Rooks County Health Center Hospital building fund and may be sent in care of the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville, KS, 67663.
