Note: Obituary: "Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy DesLauriers, 82, (above) of 1552 E. Maple St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church. Mrs. DesLauriers, the widow of E.J. (Stache) DesLauriers, died Wednesday in St. Mary's Hospital. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hickey Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. She was born Feb. 20, 1873 in Joliet and had lived in Kankakee most of her life. She and Mr. DesLauriers were married June 12, 1894, the first couple to be wed in St. Patrick's Church. He died Aug. 27, 1945. Mrs. DesLauriers was a member of the St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society, the Whatsoever Club and a charter member of the local musician's union. Surviving are sons, the Rev. Francis DesLauriers, CSV, of Springfield, Alfred of Kankakee, Richard and Edward of South Bend, Ind, Eugene of San Fernando, Calif, and Willard of Ontario, Calif,; daughters, Mrs. Ed. P. Madison of Kankakee, Mrs. J. Guy Enos of Minneapolis, Minn, and Mrs. Charles Sublette of Homewood; a brother, Joseph Welch of Chicago; sisters, Mrs. Frances Mathieu and Mrs. Zita Bonniwell of Chicago; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Gertrude, died in infancy. The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Patrick's Church will meet at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Friday."
