Also in the house was Elizabeth Bell, age 57, born in Cleator, Cumberland, Thomas T. Bell's mother, along with Hannah Bell, Thomas' sister, age 19, born in St. Bridgets. George sailed from Liverpool, Eng. Nov 28, 1882; arrived in NY Dec 11. First papers taken out about Nov. 1887; naturalized in the District Court of the USA in NYC Aug 4, 1900. First papers lost; duplicate issued Sept. 20, 1926 by Alexander Gilchrist Jr. Clerk of the District Court of the USA for the Southern District of NY. After retirement, he lived with his daughter, Ethel Rietz, in Frankfort, Phil., PA, until early 1950s and then moved to Home for Aged Men, Menands, Albany 4, NY where he died.
