Note: s Pvt. to Capt Legg and Col Winslow and Weeden in Fredricksburg, VA. He was in the main army under General Lafayette. They moved then to the Horse Pens Ford on the Potomac %River. He was at the sige of Little York or Yorktown and was present at the surrender of Lord Cornwallis. He has military pension identification is #S30644. He applied for a pension 17 Sept 1833 in Henry County, Kentucky. The affidavit of Charles Stewart and William McCracken was given at the same time and were well aquainted with Benjamin. His pension was approved on 30 October 1833 and was given $63.33 per year. He moved his home in November 1781 to Bryans Station, Kentucky. In December 1781 he enlisted for 3 months with Captain Craig and Colonel Weicslow? as a private volunteer soldier.
