Note: 1901 census says he is born Ontario, but marriage to Ann Bailey (married name was Allison) says he is born in England. 1851 Etobicoke, York Co., Ontario census also says he is born in England. He is not married in 1851 and it says he is 16. There is a William Dalton that he is living with and it says his youngest is 1 and born in England. That means he probably came to Canada in about 1849 or 1850.
