 Mary Ann Long was born at Oak-Hill, Mo., 5 April 1871. She passed away in Maplewood at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Kuhns on 1 Jan. 1938. She was sisty-six years, eight months and 26 days.
 In 1889 she was married to Charles Long. Thirteen children were born to this union. Eight of these and her husband have preceded her in death. Those left to mourn the loss of a Mother are Mrs. Elsie
 Kuhns of Maplewood, Mo., Mrs. Leola Bay of Detroit, Michigan, John Long of St. Louis and William and Ervin Long of Cuba. She is survived also by nineteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Louis Smay of Bolivar, Mo., a half brother, Frank Doms of Dillard, Mo., and a half sister, Josie Doms of St. Louis, Mo.
 In early life she was converted and united with the Methodist church of which until the time of her death she was a loyal member.
 Funeral services were conducted Monday from the Hollow Funeral Home with Rev McKowen, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Kinder Cemetery.
