Notes
a. Note:   SARAH PRICE (Williams) "Sarah Price was Born (in Wales) in the yere 1785 March the 16 in the Evening 10 a clock," reads the family roll of children. She was married in Wales to Thomas Williams (where and when unknown). Could it have been the same Thomas Williams, GENT, who built the little Church at Pen-yr-heal (Hay-on-Wye, Wales) mentioned under Thomas I? If so, we have the source of the aristocratic bearing of some of her descendants. At any rate, she must have been married about 1809, for her oldest child, Charles, was born Mary 7, 1810, and was a spinner at Newton, and came to USA with his Uncle Thomas Price II in 1840. Her two daughters were Sarah, born in Wales May 8, 1812, and Hannah, born May, 1814. She probably brought up her family in or near Newtown, for from there she and Charles came to America in 1840. We have a letter she sent from Wales, Dec. 10, 1838, and another showing that she was in Akron, Ohio, July 2, 1852. She died at her son Charles' home in Liberty tp., Licking County, Ohio, April 22, 1867 in her 83rd year and was buried in the cemetery at Concord. ------------------- Sarah Williams 1840 census, Liberty Twp, Licking Co., OH 1-male=(5-10)--? 1male=(30-40) 1 female=(40-50)
