a. Note:   e public schools and graduated from Glen Ridge HighSchool. (2) He attended Brown University, in Providence Rhode Island.There he met his future wife, Marian Maxwell Mackenzie. Edwin graduatedfrom Brown in 1933, (3) married Marian in Rhode Island in 1935 and movedback to New Jersey.(4) Since 1940 Edwin and his family lived in Little Falls. His careerwas made in Banking and Life Insurance.(5) During WWII he was Civil Defense Director and later, DisasterControl Chairman for the Township of Little Falls from 1953 to 1959.(6) Edwin had an interst in sports for most of his life. He playedbaseball both at Glen Ridge High School and his years at BrownUniversity. He also played tennis for the Brown tennis team and laterbecame an umpire for the Eastern Tennis Umpire's Association and the U.S.Tennis Umpire's Association. (7) Edwin was a Charter Member of the Little Falls Rotary Club andbecame a Life Member of Rotary International. He served as President ofthe Little Falls Unit from 1951-1952.(8) He and his wife, Marian, were active in the Union CongregationalChurch in Upper Montclair, Essex, NJ for almost 40 years.(9) Edwin andhis wife were married two days shy of sixty years, when his wife died in1994. Edwin is survived by two daughters, Mrs Patricia V. Boyle and Mrs.Pamela V. Aloia, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.(10)
