Note: Virginian Pilot Virginia Beach, VA May 2001 Raymond R. Skinner, 77, passed away on May 17, 2001, in his residence. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief radioman, then retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was the founder of Ray Skinner Frames and Art Gallery in 1975, and was very active in Aragona-Pembroke Little League, active in Boys Scouts, and achieved the vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and involved with the Virginia Beach Recreation Adult Softball League. Mr. Skinner is proceeded in death by his son, Raymond Skinner II; and five brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen H. Skinner; daughter, Beverly J. Tehel, husband Frank; son, Paul Skinner; wife Norma, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters, four brothers; and three grandchildren, Michael, Neely and Clayton. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A funeral will be conducted at the funeral home by Rev. Warren Wilson at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow services with full military honors at Rosewood Memorial Park.
