She would go and live with her sister Thelma.Eventually he would return, he was thrilled over having adaughter Velma.He let his sister Violet, come and take Velma for all holidaysand vacations. His family did not like Frances, and made itplain to Velma that her father, had married below him.He also had a problem with drinking up his payroll checkeveryweek, and spending money on expensive camera equipment.Leaving no money for food for his family.He had several girlfriends while married to Frances, even bringthem to their home, and Frances would have to sleep on thedivan.Frances finally found a good job at the munitions factory, andwhen Charles wanted to follow his friend and his girlfriend(Charles was in love with her) to Arizona, Frances refused tomove the family. Charles went to Arizona, and when he returnedin the Spring, They got a divorce. Robert, and Charles chose tostay with Frances, and the boys made Velma stay also.The divorce was amiable with Charles staying on the divan, whenhe came to visit the children.He eventually ended up in Washington, where he remarried andlived until his death.
