Note: is father's farm that had been in the family for Generations. They had two other sons who died at birth. they have 14 Grandchildren-26 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. They were known to work hard as most farmers did during that day. When farming was slow Herbert would help cut right of ways for highways in a time before there were bulldozers and other heavy equipment. This would create extra money for the family. Herbert also raised layer chickens and sold eggs. The feed he used for them came in beautiful printed sacks. He would give them to the ladies to make dresses -aprons and other things. He was a very special person to be around and everyone loved him.

Note: e. They built their home in Near highfalls in Moore County. The land was part of his Father's farm that had been in the family for generations. He and Sarah were very successful as a farmer and homemaker.
