a. Note:   n England-changes to Deaton circa the year 1130. Captain William Deaton had eight sons. When the war was over the neighbors made it so bad for them they had to leave the county. Three of them came to Big Oak Church-Bill settled in Montogmery County and Burrell settled on Cabin Creek near the Montgomery-Moore line. Burrell's land was wet and swampy on Cabin Creek. He hewed himself a home out of timber. He dug ditches to drain the bottom. It was a wonderful farm and made good crops. It is not known where the rest of the boys went. Most every family had a son named William.
