a. Note:   This is where Our Morgan Family connects with Sanders: Brittian and his two wives Susie Morgan and her sister Spicey Morgan are buried together. Susie is buried to the right of Brittian, the grave marked # 1. Private Britton Sanders was at Gettysburg and taken prisoner May 12, 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House in Virginia. He was confined at Point Lookout Maryland until transferred to Elmira New York August 10, 1864. He was then released at Elmira after taking the Oath of Allegiance on July 7,1865. He resided in Moore County where he enlisted at age 30. His marker reads: PVT Co. F 3rd Reg. N.C. State Trp. Confederate States Army. Lived in the Spies Community of Moore County, North Carolina. 1860 census list Britton age 28 and a Farmer. Spicy age 23-Sallie age 8-Nathan age 6-Hardin age 2-John age 1-Wiley Morgan age 77. They are living between John Morgan and Hiram Deaton. 1870 census Britton age 39 a Farmer Spicy age 34-Sally age 18-Nathan age 15-Hardy age 13-John age 11-Jane age 9-Lindy age 4-Andrew age 1.They are living between Kelly Williamson and John Buie. 1900 census Britton age 69 9-1831 born North Carolina Married 44 years and a Farmer. Spicy age 64 6-1835 states mother of 10 Children living. Linda age 33 5-1866 single-Wm. age 23 3-1877-Rebecca J. age 10 12-1889 grand-daughter-Dora A. age 7 6-1892 g-daughter-James A. age 6 5-1894 g-son-Kanoy A. age 3 4-1897 g-son- John L. age 21 1-1878 single g-son. They are living between Nancy Smith and Nathan Morgan.
