Of Courtenay Peter D'France: Birth: 1126. Death: 1180
Bishop Of Paris Philip: Birth: ABT 1134.
Note: Louis VI, the fat-born 1081 died 1137. King of France-1108-1137. Louis VI, as his nickname suggests, was a very corpulent man, an intrepid eater and great drinker. Despite his girth, he had tremendous energy. Beneath the rough exterior, he was a sensitive man, capable of pity and of forgiving his enemies, who were numerous. His military adventures and diplomacy had greater effect on the future of a unified and strong France than any of the earlier Capetian monarchs. He died in Paris in 1137 of dysentery.
