Note: NI0201
Note: Daniel and Annie were married near Chillicothe, Ohio, where they lived for a time, and then settled on a farm at Evansville, Indiana. Later they went to Princeton, Indiana. From there they removed to Illinois, where they remained for two years. They then returned to Princeton, Indiana, where they remained for fifteen years, removing thence to Springfield, Illinois, where they made their home until their death. Daniel died about 1850, and Annie about 1848. they were both members of the Baptist church and he was a Republican. They were parents of nine children. During this past year I have been contacted by another genealogist to tell me that Daniel is related to his line. I haven't found the evidence to absolutely connect the lines, but I must admit it looks good. If it is true, then the Catlin line goes back to the early 1600's in America and thence back to England. I will add the immediate family of Daniels for now, and then either remove them, or add to them if and when I find the actual evidence. Bernice would be amazed to learn that the book of Catlin she gave me ties directly in to the family if this discovery is true. This would have Daniel being born in Ohio, rather than New York as my record currently shows. Currently: Daniel, b. cir 1800 New York, d. cir 1850, Springfield, Illinois m. 14 March 1817, Nance Brown (she's the connection) b. cir 1800 Connecticut, d. cir 1848 Springfield, Illinois. I'll leave everything else the same.
