Note: Hetty was born Zeegserweg 16, Zuidlaren, The Netherlands. Went by P&O ocean liner "Himalaya" to Sydney, Australia, where she lived in the Vaucluse suburb, near the south head of the Sydney Harbour, from September 1965 to September 1966. She had her first year of schooling at an elementary school there. In March 1966 she moved to Westerse Drift 50, Haren, The Netherlands. Went to the Kroonkampschool until summer 1971. Here her teachers were: 1st grade: Juffr. van der Lee, 2nd: Juffr. de Vries-Stoutjesdijk, 4th: mr Kramer, 5th: mr Luiting, and 6th mr.Post who was he school principal. Then moved to Panama, 999 Via de los Caobos, Las Cumbres. She went to the Curundu Junior High School of the Panama Canal Commission and then the Balboa High School. She worked for the Panama Canal Commission at the Pedro Miguel locks for a while and then for the US Air Force at Howard Air Force Base. She took psychology courses at the Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua (USMA). After a brief marriage to Gustavo Jean-François she moved to the States where she married David. They lived on the U.P. of Michigan on K.I. Sawyer AFB, in Eastern England, near Lakenheath RAF base, and in Fayetteville, South Carolina. Then they moved to Columbia, Illinois and she became a legal secretary, and a paralegal, in St. Louis. She studied at Maryville University and finished her paralegal studies in December 2001. She was in the Bascom honor program and was elected to receive the "West Legal Studies Award for Excellence in Paralegal Studies." Only one or two students receive that award each year, and Hetty was one of a rather large graduating class! The official graduating ceremony is on May 4, 2002.
