Aquila Burroughs lived in Chaptico, St. Mary's Co., Md, Aquila and some of his wives are buried in Chaptico. Md) The name Amery appears in this post. Norman and Esther's son was John Amory Burroughs (1802-1872). The family bible spells it Amory. John Amory married Elizabeth Temperance Dent (1810-1881), daughter of George Dent and Elizabeth Mills. They lived at Wicomico Fields, in Charles or St. Mary's Co. Their son, William McKenny Burroughs married Sarah Hayden, daughter of Hezekiah Garner Hayden (c 1813-1858) and Elizabeth Catherine Carpenter (1823-1893).
