CENSUS: 1910 Federal Census: MN, Stearns, Sauk Centre Ward 2, Sheet 4B [Gaspard] Amelia, wife, F, W, age 45, 2nd marriage, married 2 years, mother of 2, 2 living, born in Minnesota, fa born Ger German, mo born Ger German, OBITUARY: Sauk Centre Herald Aug 17, 1922 Page 1 Mrs. Amelia Gaspard widow of the late Peter Gaspard died at the University Hospital, Minneapolis, Tuesday morning August 15, after an illness of over three months with blood poisoning which was caused by a needle prick in one of her fingers. The deceased was taken to the University Hospital, June 22. The infected finger was finally amputated and hope was entertained for a time that she would recover but the poison had spread through her entire system and death followed. Amelia Borgmann was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Borgmann pioneer residents, and was born in Sauk Centre township April 8, 1864. In January 1885 she was united in marriage to Robert Lux who died in 1896. To this union three sons were born. They are all married, and are as follows: Fred Lux, Sauk Centre; Alex Lux, St. Cloud, and Everett Lux, Sauk Centre. In September 1907, Mrs. Lux was united in marriage to Peter Gaspard and to this union two children were born, Beatrice and Melvin. Mr. Gaspard died a few months ago. The funeral will be held from Our Lady of the Angels Church Friday morning at 9 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. John Fearon. With the excepting of a few years spent in Wadena, Seattle and North Dakota, the entire life of Mrs. Gaspard was spent in Sauk Centre township and Sauk Centre city. She was a splendid type of woman and in her death her children and many relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. BURIAL: Calvary Cemetery, Sauk Centre, MN. Next to Peter Gaspard.
