OBITUARY: Mrs. Fred Lux, Mother of 10, Died Thursday Mrs. Fred T. Lux, 63, wife of the Minnesota legislator from this district, died Thursday, Nove. 17, at 9:30 p.m. at the home where the family had lived for 29 years. Death followed an illness of nearly nine months including 16 weeks of hospitalization. Her daughters, Joan and Ruth, of San Francisco, has come here to care for her during her illness. Funeral services were held from the Church of Our Lade of the Angels Monday morning at 10 with Rev. S. A. Renner reading the mass. Interment was in Calvary cemetery. The 10 children of Mr. and Mrs. Lux attended the funeral services. ... Mrs. Lux was born Mary C. Goerger, in St. Cloud, April 11, 1886, the daughter of Edward Goerger and Catherine Richter. She was reared in St. Cloud, graduating from the Teachers College. She taught in the Bromenschenkel school near Sauk Centre in 1906 and returned to teach near St. Cloud the following term. She was married to Fred T. Lux of July 23, 1907 in St. Cloud. the couple moved to Minot, N. D., where they lived for four years. Later they lived in Brainerd for four years and in 1915 the family moved to Albany where Mr. Lux operated his own cigar factory. In 1920 they moved to Sauk Centre. Mr. Lux moved his factory here and continued operation in the home at 2nd and Pine streets until 1938 when he discontinued the business. Mrs. Lux is survived by her husband and these 10 sons and daughters: Genevieve Lux, of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Clarence Elfering (Vivian), of Freeport; Antoinette Lux, of San Francisco; Mrs. N. E. White (Catherine), of Philadelphia; Robert Lux, at home; David Lux, of Mankato; Fred Lux Jr., of Minneapolis, Joan and Ruth Lux, at home, and Margaret, of Minneapolis. There are 9 grandchildren surviving. She also leaves two brothers: Ben Goerger, of Mantador, N.
