[Ferdinand's father, Robert Lux, was actually born in Cleveland, Ohio.] OBITUARY: Funeral For Fred Lux, 76, Held Saturday Funeral services for Fred T. Lux, 76, former state representative from the 46th district, were held Saturday, Aug. 11th at Our Lady of the Angels church at 9:30, the Rev. Harold Kost officiating. Burial was at Calvary cemetery... Mr. Lux died Aug. 8 at St. Michaels hospital after a lingering illness. Fred T. Lux, son of the late Robert and Amelia Lux, was born in Sauk Centre June 15, 1886. After attending school here he became an apprentice cigar maker in St. Cloud and learned the trade. He opened his own shops in Minot, North Dakota and Albany, Minn., before returning to Sauk Centre in 1920 to go into the cigar business. He retired in 1940. He served in the legislature as state representative in this district from 1932-1949. Mr. Lux married Mary Goerger of St. Cloud in 1907. She preceeded him in death in November of 1949. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Genevieve Lux, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Clarence (Vivian) Elfering, Freeport, Minn.; Antoinette, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Norwood (Catherine) White, Harrisburg, Pa.; Robert, Freeport, Minn.; David, Minneapolis; Mrs. Donald (Joan) Hanson, Valleo, Calif.; Fred E., Woods Hole, Mass.; Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Bertram and Mrs. Louis (Marguerite) Winker, Minneapolis. There are 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
