Note: OBITUARY: JOHN N. FEUERSTEIN Mr. John N. Feuerstein, seventy-seven years of age, head of one of the pioneer families of Saunders County, died Monday noon at his home at Leshara, Nebr. He resided at this home for forty-three years. Mr. Feuerstein was married to Anna Baus in 1877 in St. Anne's church, New Elses, Indiana. He was born in Indiana and came to Nebraska in 1882. He is survived by his wife and eleven children, G. U. Feuerstein, Iroquis, South Dakota; F. S. Feuerstein, Idaho Falls, Idaho; F. H., Feuerstein, Murdock, Nebr.; J. L. Feuerstein, Pasadena, Calif.; A. G. Feuerstein, Leshara, Nebr.; Mrs. Frederick Timp, Dehuel, South Dakota; Mrs. John Winker and Mrs. John Beese, DeSnet, South Dakota; Mrs. Lewis Winker, Randall, Minn.; Mrs. J. Jay Burns, Omaha, Nebr., and Miss Ellen Feuerstein, Leshara, Nebr., and twenty-one grandchildren and four brothers and one sister. Hoover. Pg. 243. OBITUARY: JOHN FEUERSTEIN DIES AT LESHARA John N. Feuerstein, 77, a pioneer resident of Saunders County, died at his home at Leshara Monday afternoon. Mr. Feuerstein was one of the prominent pioneer residents of northern Saunders County, where he had taken an active part in affairs for many years. He had resided in the home where he died for forty-three years. Mr. Feuerstein was born in Indiana seventy-seven years ago and came to Saunders County in 1882. In 1877, while he lived in Indiana, he was married and made his residence in his home state for five years before moving to the new country of Nebraska. He is survived by his wife and eleven children. G. U. Feuerstein, Iroquis, S. D.; F. S. Feuerstein, Idaho Falls, Idaho; F. H., Feuerstein, Murdock; J. L. Feuerstein, Pasadena, California; A. G. Feuerstein, Leshara; Mrs. Frederick Timp, Mrs. John Winker and Mrs. John Beese of DeAmet, S. D.; Mrs. Lew Winker, Randall, Minn.; Mrs. J. Jay Burns, Omaha, and Miss Ellen Feuerstein of Leshara. Twenty-one grandchildren, four brothers and one sister also survive.
