Note: nd two daughters (Susan and Charity Silesta). He enlisted in Co. H, 1st Regiment Alabama Conscripts on 28 Aug 1862 and most likely served in the 61st Alabama Infantry with some of his brothers. Seven of his brothers were in the Civil War although some were in other units. He was listed on Pike Co., AL Census in 1870. His occupation was Mechanic. After the family lost their plantation to carpetbaggers after the Civil War, he worked in Birmingham, AL for a while to save the money to get a new start. He helped make the brick for the first courthouse in Bimingham. His brothers, John and Jesse worked with him there. He built the historic Drennen Home in Arkadelphia with the help of his son, A.A. Rollo in 1884. He moved to Arkadelphia, Blount Co., AL in 1878. He was listed on the 1880 Census.
