Notes
a. Note:   eff/f-line.htm Hempfield Twp also known Manor Twp. They had 8 children listed inHenry's will dated April 17, 1749. Note: In the Daniel I. Rupp's Lancaster County Historical 1884, page 906and in Elmer Neff's book on the Neff's Huntington County, Henry B islisted as a son of Dr. Francis Neff A1 but these are mistakes. WilliamA. Neff has deed showing the land purchase by Henry Neff on October 1717in Whitmarsh Twp., then Chester County, Pennsylvania. He and Barbarasold this property 1-22 and moved to Hempfield Twp. Lancaster County,Pennsylvania. His will is recorded Lancaster under the name Henry Neavein Will Book Volume 1. Judging from the surnames associated with this family in Pennsylvania,it appears that they came from Pfalz Germany, Ibeersheimer Hof. In theMennonite census for that Hof in 1687 is a Henry Neff with 4 children whowere Henry's father if they came from there. Just when they arrived isthe question. They may have come earlier Haan 1717 as there is a JohnNave in the 1708 tax records Chester, County, Pennsylvania.
