Note: Deed This Indenture made this Second day of June in the year of One thousand eight hundred and thirty six between Ralph Magee and Mary his wife of Madison County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Ralph Magee of the State and county and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to them in hand paid whereby the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell release and confirm unto said Ralph Magee his heirs or assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situated on the waters Jacksons branch in Madison County, and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning on a lynn and white walnut on George Millions line thence running south...George Millions line to a white oak thence with...containing forty acres be the same more or less with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances to the said Ralph Magee his heirs or assigns .... Sussex Co VA Deed Bk F, p. 195 This indenture made in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Three Between Ralph Magee and Mary his Wife of the County of Southampton of the One Part and Henry Tomlinson of the other Part, Witnesseth that the said Ralph Magee and Mary his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred Pounds Current Money of Virginia to them in hand Paid by the said Henry Tomlinson the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge they the said Ralph Magee & Mary his Wife hath granted bargained sold aliened & Confirmed unto the said Henry Tomlinson his Heirs & Assigns forever one certain Tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the Parish of Albemarle and County of Sussex on the North side of the Black Swamp containing by estimation one hundred & two acres more or less bounded as follows: beginning at a Hickory a South East course from thence to a Black Jack a corner tree from thence South West to a Spanish Oak Corner Tree from thence a North West course on the Dividing Line between William Johnson and Pateway Johnson down to a pine in the Head of the Myric(?) Branch thence Cornering a North East Course, thence to a Hickory a Corner Tree at the beginning and also all Lands Trees Woods Watercourses Commons of Pastures, Profits Commodities Advantages Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract or Parcel of Land belonging or in any wise Appurtaining and also the Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rights and Services of the said Premises and every Part & Parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title Claim Interest and Demand whatsoever of them the said Ralph Magee and Mary his Wife in and to the said Tract or Parcel of Land and premisses above mentioned or of in and to any part or parcel thereof. To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land & all and singular the said premices [sic] above mentioned & everyy part & parcel thereof with the said Appurtenances unto the said Henry Tomlinson his Heirs or Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Henry Tomlinson his Heirs and Assigns forever, and they the said Ralph Magee and Mary his wife for them and their Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of Land and Premises and every part thereof against them & each of their Heirs and against all and every other person or persons to the said Henry Tomlinson his Heirs & Assigns shall warrant and forever Defend by these presents.
