Note: See notes on James Viverette. I had a photo copy of a page from the Viverette book by Luther Jordan that someone had written Blessing Mann Nation full blooded Cherokee. When I heard from Luther's daughter Frances and asked her about that she did not answer that question. She did send me several of his books which I sent to DAR and Orlando library. I forgot where else. My query about Blessing Mann only got responses that she was not. Someone also sent a copy of the photograph of her in Luther Jordna's book. I don't think from the photo you can tell whether she was or wasn't a Cherokee. So I really did not get anything from my querry but she was not. I forwarded your email to others that might be interested in your web page. (Taken from an e-mail from Alice McClary Zell to Ray Viverette) Blessing's Virginia birth is indicated in the 1850 Nash County Census.
