Mrs. Lackie died Wednesday,March 2, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was bornin Cannon County, TN daughter of the late Levi N. and Nova CooperTodd. Mrs. Lackie was a retired optician for The Eye Clinic and workedas an optician for the former John S. Milam Optical Company ofJackson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson where shewas a member of the Rachael Lewis Sunday School Class and taughtSunday School for many years. She sang in the choir for 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Lackie, who waskilled while serving in the U. S. Army during W. W. II, a grandchild,a great-grandchild, four sisters, three brothers and a son-in-law,James Marsh who died in January 2004. Survivors include two daughters,Sue Lackie Marsh of Jackson and Diana and husband John T. Wells ofHenderson, TN, four grandchildren, Laura Griggs and husband Joe ofBrighton, TN, Kim Collins and husband Jimmy and Lesa Burkhead all ofHenderson, TN and Alicia Russell and husband Richard of Belle Chasse,LA; two step-grandchildren, Karin Marsh Rogers and husband Brad ofHumboldt and Rhonda Marsh of Virginia Beach, VA, fifteengreat-grandchildren and a brother, Dan Todd of McMinnville, TN; twosisters-in-law, Sarajo Hassler and Mildred Lackie both of Jackson.Please direct any memorials to First Baptist Church.
