Note: Frederick (Fred) Havelock Martin, 29 Dill St., died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness. He was 72. Born in Hespeler, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Martin. He came to Kitchener in 1898. He was a purchasing agent for the general products division of Uniroyal Ltd., formerly Merchants Rubber, for 42 years, before retiring several years ago. A member of the 118th. Battalion in the First World War, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Masonic Lodge, and Trinity United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Bolender, a daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Ruth) Mielke of Kitchener, a sister Mrs. Vernon (Florence) Cober of Kitchener and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers. The body will be at the Keffer Funeral Home until noon Monday when removal will be made to Trinity United Church Chapel for service at 2 p.m. Rev. Frank Morgan will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. [Kitchener Record]
