Note:   HALLMAN, Lyle S. - At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Lyle died on Sunday, October 26, 2003, as the result of an auto accident. He was 81. Beloved husband of Wendy (Guittard); dear father of Susan and her husband Marvin Rempel, Jim Hallman and his wife Sue of Kitchener, Tom Hallman and his wife Kathy of Breslau; daughter-in-law, Brenda Hagey of Cambridge; grandchildren, Mark, Greg, Brent, Nadine, Yves, Kevin, Katelin, Brian, Nathan, Kerri and her husband Derrick, Stephanie and Dan. Brother of Jean and her husband Beno Barg of Kitchener and brother-in-law of Marjorie Hallman of Pictou, N.S. Lyle will also be remembered by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Al Guittard of Elmira and sister-in-law, Donna and her husband Warren Townsend of Rockwood. He was predeceased by a son, Peter; brother, Ward Hallman and his parents, Esther Shantz and Anson Hallman. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Lyle with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, Tuesday, October 28, 2003 (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2003, 11 a.m. at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church, 245 Lexington Road, Waterloo with Rev. Jim Somerville officiating. Immediately following the service, all are invited to remain at the church for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. A committal service will be held at First Mennonite Cemetery, 800 King Street East, Kitchener, on Friday at 2:30 p.m. In Lyle's memory, donations to the Robarts Research Institute in London, Pet Trust at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and Strong Start Literacy Program for Senior Kindergarten students with the Waterloo Education Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged at the funeral home or by calling 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com
