a. Note:   BAUER, Paul H. - Went to be with his Lord, on Thursday, January 1, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital. Paul Henry Bauer, age 77 years. Paul attended both St. Louis and Our Lady of Lourdes Churches, he graduated from Waterloo College and Osgood Hall and was a barrister and solicitor in Waterloo. Paul was chairman of the Waterloo Library Board when the present library was built in 1965. Brother to James of Waterloo and also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Henry A. Bauer and Clara I. Heiser; two brothers, Wilfrid and Thomas and one sister, Patricia. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home , 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where parish prayers will be recited at 6:45 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m., with Father Bernard Hayes C.R. officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Kitchener, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre and donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
