a. Note:   OLIVER LITWILLER 1917 - 2004 Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital while surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 16, 2004. Oliver was born in Wilmot Township on September 25, 1917 to Noah Litwiller and Lydia Boshart. On June 29, 1946 he married his beloved wife, Helen Steinmann and spent the following 58 years happily together. They were blessed with two children, Bonnie and her husband Doug Satchell of Gadshill and Debbie and her husband Patrick Fitzgerald of Waterloo. Proud grandfather of Michael, Shawn and his wife Dianne, Sean and Jay and great-grandfather of Connor and Kian. Oliver is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Harold Litwiller of Goderich; brother-in-law, Mahlon Yantzi of New Hamburg as well as those from the Steinmann family, sisters-in-law, Erma Sommers, Viola Iutzi, Doris and her husband Don Krafchek, Kaye Steinmann and brother-in-law, Edgar Hoerle and his wife Marilyn. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Ruth Yantzi; sister-in-law, Pearl Litwiller; brothers-in-law, Curtis Sommers, Wilfred Steinmann, Sidney Iutzi and sisters-in-law, Mildred and her husband Howard Ranck and Leona Hoerle. Prior to his retirement in 1982, Oliver worked at Electrohome Ltd. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, and the Greenwood Rod and Gun Club. He served in the army during World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530. Friends are invited to share their memories of Oliver with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home 171 King Street South in Waterloo today, (Monday) from 2-4 and 7- 9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Oliver's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Brooke Ashfield officiating. Interment will take place at Parkview Cemetery. Following the graveside service, all are welcome to join the family in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for a time of fellowship and refreshments. In Oliver's memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society and can be arranged through the funeral home - 745-8445 or is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program.
