Note:   BAECHLER, Anna - Passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Nithview Home, New Hamburg. She was born 85 years ago in North Easthope Township and was the daughter of the late Christian and Nancy (Bender) Yantzi. Anna was a member of Hillcrest Mennonite Church, New Hamburg. Anna was employed at Klassen Bronze, New Hamburg, for many years and in her retirement she volunteered at the Thrift Store in New Hamburg.Beloved wife of the late Lorne Baechler who predeceased her in 1983. Loving mother of Glen and his wife Rhoda Baechler of Kitchener, Ron Baechler of New Hamburg, Carolyn Baechler of Wellesley, Brenda and her husband Ron Hanna of Milverton. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Brad and Michelle Baechler, Bonnie Baechler and Pete Rongits, Roni-Ann and Chris Pellerin, Kelly and Rob Walker, Buffey Baechler and her fiance Jason Erb, Matthew Herman, Kate Herman, Jillian Hanna and Nadine Hanna and her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Austin, Kyle, Nicholas and Mitchell. Dear sister of Dorothy Lebold of Kitchener, Mary Baechler of Exeter, Ruby and Carlyle Holst of Kitchener, Emma and Mahlon Steinmann of Tavistock, Verna Brayshaw of Kitchener, Mahlon and Ruth Yantzi, Lester and Nancy Yantzi, all of New Hamburg. Also missed by sister-in-law, Edith Lebold of Stratford. Anna was predeceased by a son, Dale in 1968 and sisters, Wilma and Lloyd Stere and Edna and Solomon Gerber, Melinda and Milton Roth.Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, Thursday, June 26 from 7-9 p.m. and today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Hillcrest Mennonite Church with Pastor Jan Steckley and Pastor Henry Regehr officiating. Interment to follow in the 16th Line East Zorra Mennonite Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
