Note:   MARTIN, Malinda (Mrs. Cleason) - Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Grace, in Elmira, Malinda (Hoffman) Martin in her 91st year, formerly of Linwood. Beloved wife of the late Cleason Martin (March 27, 2001) to whom she was married for 68 years. Dear mother of Leona and her husband Rev. Amsey Martin of New Hamburg, Frank and his wife Paula of Kitchener, Grace Martin and her friend Peter Syrier of Elmira; loving grandma of Sharon (Dave Heyer), Carolyn (Jim Jantzi), Steve (Faith), Sheldon (Judy), Jeff, Leigh Ann and Bryan; great-grandma to 11 children. Sister of Ephraim Hoffman and his wife Naomi of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Maryann (Bauman) Hoffman; infant son, Walter; two brothers, Nelson and Alvin and four sisters, Edna, Barbara, Nancy (Brubacher) and Minerva (Martin). Cleason and Malinda farmed near Linwood for 41 years, retiring to Linwood in 1973. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 1 p.m. on Saturday transfer will be made to the Elmira Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Ruth Ann Laverty officiating, followed by interment in the St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery.
