Note: Horst, Samuel, was born Jan. 12, 1868, in Woolwich Township; passed away at his son Irvin's home, Dec. 30, 1953; aged 85 y. 11 m. 18 d. He was united in marriage to Lavina Bowman on April 4, 1897. To this union were born two children (Irvin and Magdalena). He was preceded in death by his wife and daughter. He leaves to mourn his departure his son and 2 grandchildren (Mrs. Harold Bauman and Willard Horst.). He was a member of the Elmira, Ont., Mennonite Church since its inception in 1924. Funeral services were held at the Elmira Mennonite Church, Jan. 3, in charge of O. D. Snider and Howard S. Bauman. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
