Note:   O'GRADY, Charles - Suddenly, at his home, Charles Thomas O'Grady, of RR 3, Listowel, passed away, on Friday, May 31, 2002. He was 75.Charles was the beloved husband of Doreen (Moser) O'Grady and the cherished father of Maureen of Waterloo, Shelley of Brampton, Charlene and Jeff Appel of Waterloo and Kathy-Jo and Craig Lawrence of Cranbrook. He was the dear brother of Patricia O'Grady, Clare and Ann O'Grady and Edward O'Grady. He will be fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eileen and Jack Kittel, Celena Kocher, Milly Threndyle, Art and Cecilia Moser, Lenore Moser, Irene Moser and friend Charlie Zettel, as well as many nieces and nephews.Charles was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Catherine (Schiebel) O'Grady and one brother, Howard, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Verna and Gerald Linseman, Jack and Lorayne Sheehan, Earl, Harold and Gerald Moser, Wally Threndyle, Alban Kocher and Peggy O'Grady. Also predeceased by longtime employee and family friend, Bev Cumming.Charles operated the dairy farm in Tralee where he was born on November 4, 1926. He was a member of St. Mary's/St. Joseph's Parish and the Knights of Columbus.Charles' family received friends and relatives at the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel, on Sunday, June 2 from 7-9 p.m. and will receive friends and relatives on Monday, June 3, (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Hesson on Tuesday, June 4 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Matthias Wronski officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Hesson.Memorial donations may be made to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Circle of Care campaign or St. Joseph's Church Building Fund.Charles will be remembered for his faith, compassion and gentle humour.
